Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. Offers Advanced Features And Impressive Image Quality In New e-STUDIOtm230 And e-STUDIO280
New Multifunction Devices Are TABS’ First To Offer 100 Percent Toner Recycling
IRVINE, Calif., (July 28, 2004) – Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) today introduced the full-featured and affordable e-STUDIOTM230/280 series, offering copy, print, scan and fax functionality for small and mid-sized workgroups. The
e-STUDIO230 and 280 feature TABS’ first 100 percent recycled toner system, making the devices as environmentally friendly as they are user-friendly.
“One of the most notable new design features on the e-STUDIO230/280 is the 100 percent toner recycle system, eliminating the need for a waste toner container,” said Steve Rhorer, director, Product Marketing for TABS. “Not only is this good for the environment, it also reduces machine down time and makes toner replacement easier for the user – all without compromising productivity, usability or image quality.”
Seamless Document Workflow Through E-Bridge Architecture
TABS’ e-STUDIO230 and e-STUDIO280 digital multifunction devices feature a network-ready architecture built on Toshiba’s original e-Bridge unified architecture. Toshiba’s proprietary all-in-one e-Bridge technology delivers Internet-ready, mobile/wireless-ready and solution-ready technology, enabling monochrome copy, print, scan, fax and other networking capabilities all on a single hardware platform. Toshiba’s Net-ready strategy enhances the communications and integration capabilities of both paper and electronic documents and enables easy network connections.
Improved Ease of Use
The half-size VGA control panel is twice the size of currently available standard control panels. The e-STUDIO230/280’s improved touch screen control panel is even easier to use with new features, including large one-touch buttons, oversized graphical icons and a 45-degree tilting capability, increasing ease of use for physically challenged individuals and flexibility in various light sources that may make it more difficult to read an LCD screen.
Advanced Electronic Document Management
The e-STUDIO230/280 offers robust network scanning capabilities, scanning up to 60 original documents per minute (OPM) at user selectable resolutions up to 400 dpi and 45 OPM at 600 dpi. Additionally, the scanning feature can easily be integrated into an organization’s workflow when coupled with a document management software solution for complete digitization of all hard copy documents for easy storage and retrieval capabilities. The e-STUDIO230/280’s network scanning capabilities include scanning to multiple locations and conversion into commonly used file formats, including scan-to-file, scan-to-email, scan-to-e-filing and TWAIN-compliant scanning.
The e-STUDIO230 and 280 both come standard with two 550-sheet paper cassettes and a 100-sheet stack feed bypass to accommodate special and heavier stock papers and envelopes. Additional finishing options include standard trayless duplexing, single position stapling and multiple position stapling with the optional saddle-stitch finisher (which includes a hole punch option). Additionally, the
e-STUDIO230/280 have exceptional duplex productivity performance. Maximum monthly duty cycles for the 230 and 280 are 74,000 pages and 90,000 pages respectively, with print and copy speeds of 23 CPM/PPM (copies-per-minute, print-per-minute) for the e-STUDIO230 and 28 CPM/PPM for the e-STUDIO280.
The e-STUDIO230 and e-STUDIO280 are available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers for the suggested list price of $5,650 and $7,050 (USD) respectively.
