Does anyone know who makes this unit? I kow it is not Ricoh. Also, who makes the CL1000. CL2000, CL3000? Is it Panasonic?

Ted - the AC104 is the same unit as the Samsung SCX-4216 little mfp. We are a Samsung fax dealer and I have sold several of the Samsung models - they are nice when competing with Office Depot type units. FYI, I saw the Samsung units at Sams Club once for around $300.
We also sell the Panasonic DP-CL21, which is the CL3000.
That is the one I caused a little confusion about mentioning it in the "1515" discussion. The AC104 is the FX-16 in Europe. I didn't think Ricoh would send this one to the U.S. ... or else I figured it would go through the "Bizworks" channel. You can get this under the Samsung name for under $400 from places such as buy.com, Bust Buy, PC Nation, etc.
The CL1000 is made by Brother and the 2000 & 3000 are made by Panasonic. Has anyone got service pricing on the AC104 yet?
I believe the CL1000 is a Hitachi engine.
The Samsung SCX-4216F machine (codename Rocky) is also sold as the Xerox Pe16 and the Lexmark X215. All four products are almost identical, apart from some minor differences such as toner yield, bundled software, default fax/copier mode and panel design.

We sold some of these in their samsung version - worst adf I've ever seen. I would rather not sell them. Also week dual access.
