NEW 55cpm with Print/Scan?

From the Savin side we've heard of nothing on a new 55. We were told originally that the 55 we have is just a filler between the 45 and 60 with no plans to update.

Haven't heard a word from My Lanier contacts either. The guy must not be to bright because I have'nt heard boo from anyone on this. There is not even anything on Ricoh Japan that eludes to a 55ppm system with this feature. This guy may have really screwed himself up on this deal since there is a Kyocera 5530 out there that you can place with Print/Scan for less than a stripped 1055.

Maybe the customer mis understood the salesperson when he mentioned scan once print many?

Or maybe they are selling a stand alone scanner with 1055, or better yet maybe they are placing as IS100e on top of the finsiher and connecting to the parallel port of the copier!

I was told the 1055 was being dis-continued.

That's too bad, we've had success selling the Savin version to area schools (that have the money!).

I'll be out at Vision and will let you all know whats up with the 55.
