The color units for the 1030, 1230 & 1235 should be the same, as they all take the same ink. Therefore ahould still be available.

Jim - the product codes are different. The JP1030 color drum is 205545. Apparently the inks work in all 3 model drums, but the drums are different??? Any suggestions? Thanks

The drums are not different! Order the color drum and just put black ink in it!
Once the new drum is installed it may enable the color drum light to go on. Not a big deal. There is color in the drum, thats what I tell the customer if they ask. We had to do this with some of the older dups also.

I know there is a long drum and a shor drum and then the color drum. Short drum means when working with the doc feeder the the drum will wrap an 11 x 8 1/2 master instead of the typical legal size master. Again, you should be ok with the color drum (l).
