Mutoh America has released its new RJ-900X printer that offers advanced features for print shops looking to compete in the wide-format and CAD markets. The 42-inch RJ-900X is a four-colour, roll-fed printer that prints up to 676 square feet per hour.
Improved paper handling capability and a new pressure roller control feature allow users to manually adjust pressure rollers for optimum print quality and maximum media versatility. The RJ-900X also includes a media catch basket, one-year limited warranty, installation and training support and new print and effect modes.
Smart printing features include the ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) smart phone app for mobile monitoring, and Intelligent Interweave print technique to virtually eliminate banding. With a new modern design and small footprint, it will fit easily into any print shop, says Mutoh.
Specifically designed for architectural, engineering, construction, mechanical design and GIS applications, the RJ-900X incorporates a new generation "Wide Model" printhead (4 colour sections, 360 nozzles per colour) that enable the highest resolution printing for CAD at 2,880 dpi. It delivers superior line sharpness and photo quality with continuous tones, smooth transitions and a wide colour gamut. The CMYK printer also offers various print resolutions for different applications and can be utilized with a variety of inks. The printer became available January 7.
