Pogodzinski also received approval for the highway department to purchase a new color copier/printer/fax machine for $9,817. He said the county’s information technology department had recommended buying rather than leasing.
“The break-even point is at 29 months,” he said.
Pogodzinski said money is available in the current highway department budget because some equipment previously included wouldn’t need replacement yet. He said the current copy machine is using $250 a month worth of color cartridges and the new unit would use “a little over $100” a month.
