MJ Flood Ireland director Michael Power
MJ Flood, the privately owned business equipment specialist, has been appointment exclusive distributor for Konica Minolta's €35 million print solutions business in Ireland.
The partnership builds on the firm's relationship with Konica Minolta's subsidiary, Develop, a brand which MJ Flood has distributed since 2003.
The appointment follows the recent acquisition by Xerox of Irish Business Systems, which had previously distributed the Konica Minolta brand in Ireland.
MJ Flood will distribute the entire range of Konica Minolta products, including the latest print management services such as the Optimized Print Services (OPS) that manage printing infrastructures and services to fit individual business needs.
MJ Flood director Michael Power notes: "We have had a long-standing relationship with Konica Minolta which spans over 30 years, having distributed Konica in Ireland, prior to its merger with Minolta in 2003."
Power adds: "Our appointment to support and grow both the Konica Minolta and Develop brands, with almost one-third domestic market share, reflects our success in helping customers to manage their documentation requirements in a cost-effective, professional and environmentally-friendly fashion."
Anton Eckert, senior area manager of business operations for Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, said his firm's reasons for choosing MJ Flood included the Irish firm's "unrivalled branch network, nationwide reach and technical experience."
MJ Flood will continue to sell the Develop brand in Ireland, through an indirect channel model.
