Mimaki has announced that it will be bringing innovative labelling solutions to Labelexpo Europe 2013, scheduled for 24 - 27 September in Brussels. Most notably, Mimaki will be demonstrating its capabilities with white and silver inks, the ability to take advantage of a larger sheet size for multiple-up or ganged label jobs, and its near-line cutting solutions optimised for short-run label work. Mimaki can be located in Stand 9H75 at the show.
‘We have been very pleased with the way our printers and cutters are being used in the label industry for a variety of high quality, short run speciality label applications,’ said Mike Horsten, general manager marketing of Mimaki EMEA. ‘Visitors to our stand at the show will be able to see these applications live, as well as view a wide variety of samples that will generate great ideas for their businesses. Our white and silver inks add an extra dimension to specialty label applications and broaden the range of substrates that can be used effectively.’

Mimaki will be showcasing a variety of wide-format printers at the show. These include: • CJV30 Series: This series of printers comes in four different print widths and integrated cutting solutions at a print speed of up to 17.5 sq/m hour and features automatic switching from printing to cutting. Continuous crop mark detection delivers accurate contour cutting to support even the most complex label layouts. • UJF6042 A2 Format UV LED Flatbed Printer: With outstanding 1800 x 1800 print quality, this energy saving eco-friendly printer with LED UV curing has multiple ink options, including white ink, clear varnish and inkjet primer for printing on a wider variety of substrates. • J400SUV Series: Sets a new industry standard by combining the flexibility of solvent printing with the durability of UV cured inks, resulting in smooth, glossy prints, and a high resistance to scratching and weathering. • JV400LX Series: These innovative printers use more ecologically friendly latex inks and feature the world’s first water-based white latex ink.

‘While visiting with Mimaki at the show, label converters will see how large-format printers can augment their production portfolios in a rapidly changing and highly competitive marketplace,’ Horsten added, ‘Whether the requirement is for multiple label types on the same sheet or multiple-up of the same label for short runs, Mimaki label printing and finishing solutions offer the quality, flexibility and capabilities that make it cost effective to produce stunning specialty labels in short to medium runs.
