Microsoft adds features to Universal Print
The “secure release” features now works with QR codes scanned by smartphone or mobile devices that run Android OS or Apple iOS
- Users will need to signed into their company provided Microsoft 365 Mobile App account
- Also need to be authenticated to the Entra ID (fka Azure Active Directory)
- Technicians need to have device generate and print its unique QR code, and then affix it to the outside of the printer of MFP that offers Universal Print
- Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 Universal Print users have a print allocation of 100 print jobs per month
- Customers can buy “add on” packs of 500 print jobs
