Metro Sales Inc., the largest independent Ricoh dealer in the United States, has acquired St. Cloud’s Ricoh/IKON branch. Terms of the arrangement were not disclosed in a news release today that also highlighted the acquisition of offices in Duluth, Hibbing, Mankato, Owatonna, Rochester and Fargo, N.D.
St. Cloud native and longtime sales manager Wally Abel will lead the St. Cloud office.
Metro Sales employs more than 125 factory-certified technicians and has been Minnesota’s exclusive Ricoh dealer for more than 30 years. Ricoh Americas Corporation will continue to retain all global, national, federal government and managed service customers in the area, as well as its direct customer base in other parts of Minnesota – including the Twin Cities.
Based in Minneapolis, Metro Sales was founded in 1969 and is a distributor of copiers, fax machines and laser printers.
