M-Files Corporation, the developer of M-Files cloud, on-premise and hybrid dynamic content management solutions that simplify ECM by managing information based on what it is, rather where it's stored, today announced its enterprise content management platform M-Files 10.0 has achieved certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.

The SAP® Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that M-Files 10.0 integrates with SAP NetWeaver to exchange data SAP solutions via SAP ArchiveLink® software. All SAP ArchiveLink scenarios are supported, including early archiving and late archiving of incoming documents, outgoing documents, print list archiving, data archiving, and SAP document management system archiving.

Organizations using SAP applications can deploy M-Files as an integrated repository for fast and intuitive access to relevant content, as well as integrated archiving and retention of records and other documents directly within the SAP ERP application.

M-Files' unique approach also leverages metadata in SAP software to associate documents and other content directly to data objects, such as a vendor or a product. Rather than creating another silo of information that users can find difficult and inefficient to use, this tight coupling of objects and metadata in SAP software and M-Files creates a unified environment where content is always "live" and accessible from anywhere in the organization, whether working in an SAP application or a different system or simply accessing documents directly from Word, Excel or any other application.

“Achieving this SAP certification for M-Files 10.0 illustrates our commitment to help businesses maximize their investment in SAP software,” said Mika Javanainen, senior director of product management at M Files Corporation. “A core part of our strategy is to deliver ECM, document management and quality management solutions that are tightly coupled to other core business systems so that relevant documents and other content are easy to locate and access in a consistent and unified manner across the organization. We've worked hard on integrating M-Files with SAP NetWeaver to ensure it meets SAP's strict certification requirements. We're delighted to offer the certified integration to our current customers that are using SAP applications, as well as to the global SAP ecosystem at large.”

Using M-Files as the document repository solution for SAP applications enables M-Files users to enforce dynamic retention and disposal policies for archived files, leverage metadata for organizing files into dynamic views, and access data and related documents in SAP software while working in offline mode or with tablets and smartphones on the go.

The archived content is also indexed automatically for easier discovery in M-Files, and unique metadata-driven dynamic permissions with Windows Active Directory integration ensure that access control policies can be easily configured and enforced for all content. M-Files provides complete audit trails and electronic signature capabilities to help manage mission-critical content in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
