Lexmark announces Inspire: Lexmark's Teaching Award
Sept. 2, 2011 - As part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration, Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE: LXK) today announced Inspire: Lexmark's Teaching Award.
Lexmark’s Teaching Award has been established to highlight and salute exceptional middle and high school teachers who teach science, technology, engineering, and/or math (STEM) in designated Central Kentucky counties. During each academic school year, one teacher per month will be awarded $1,000 to be used to promote STEM education for his/her classroom.
Nominations should come from students, colleagues, parents, school administrators, or community leaders and must be submitted online, along with two reference letters. Eligible nominees must teach in one of the following Central Kentucky counties:
Anderson County
Bourbon County
Clark County
Fayette County
Franklin County
Jessamine County
Madison County
Scott County
Woodford County
The nomination process for the 2011-2012 school year is open now until April 15, 2012. All nominations will be reviewed and awarded monthly by a committee consisting of Lexmark employees. Click here to submit a nomination.
