Job Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician, you will conduct maintenance and repairs on wide format printing and finishing equipment. You will be responsible for responding to software and hardware maintenance and service requests.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Directly communicating with our customers
- Working with specific software related to wide format machines
- Conducting software and firmware updates
- Training clients on the use of software and physical equipment
- Working with a laptop computer with service manuals and parts manuals
- Operating various hand tools, meters and testing equipment
- Working with electrical boards and components (AC and DC voltage)
- Performing assembly rebuilds and repairs in our shop
- Conducting new equipment installations and equipment de-installations
- Maintaining inventory reports and ordering new inventory
- Updating service records and other service documents
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Strong mechanical/electrical skills and a desire to “figure things out”
- Basic PC related skills needed
Skills:
- Dependable, punctual and safety conscious
- Active driver's license with good driving record
- Experience as a service technician preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol testing
