Lanier Launches Digital Multifunction Product For Fast, Affordable Creative Color In Light Production Environments

LC155 offers digital copying, network printing, scanning, and finishing

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, July 25, 2005 --- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today announced the Lanier LC155, a digital multifunction product (MFP) that produces high-speed, convenient, and affordable creative color for light production environments. The system combines digital copying, network printing, and color scanning with a choice of two powerful EFI Fiery® print controllers, and delivers up to 55 pages per minute in exceptional color. It can also produce up to 60 pages per minute in monochrome. The LC155 will be available immediately.
“Full-color business documents can be a critical competitive advantage for today’s organizations — if they are delivered on time and within budget,” said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. “The LC155 provides users with unmatched speed, throughput, and color management capabilities, making it ideal for graphic design, print-for-pay, architectural, and other light production environments where fast, high-quality color output is a baseline requirement.

“This versatile system enables users to deliver brilliant, full-color documents in-house at an incredibly low cost-per-page for maximum workflow efficiency. The LC155 turns ordinary documents into extraordinary ones without compromising deadlines or operating costs.”

The LC155 offers two powerful Fiery® print controller options for optimal productivity and color printing performance. The E-7000 embedded controller combines affordability, speed, and versatility for basic functionality. The E-8000 external controller offers advanced color management capabilities, including Pantone® color matching for proofing applications and customer-facing graphics such as company logos, posters, and letterhead.

“Superior image quality involves much more than dots per inch,” said Pontrelli. “The Fiery print controllers are engineered to deliver near-photographic results. Plus, they process complex files and graphics at incredible speed, enabling users to handle virtually any short-run, full-color job quickly and cost-effectively.”

The LC155 offers three automatic finisher options—two 3,000-sheet finishers with stapling or a 2,000-sheet booklet finisher with saddle stitch. All these help users produce high-quality professional documents that are ready for immediate distribution. The system also features a total paper capacity of 7,400 sheets and accepts a wide range of paper stocks and sizes for exceptionally high productivity. The MFP accommodates up to 12" x 18" documents for 11" x 17" full-bleed output. Other options include a cover interposer that inserts preprinted covers into the job stream, a nine-bin mailbox, and a tab sheet unit.
