Wow...it is getting ridiculous how cheap this stuff is going for. I feel bad for our up & down the street reps, because it's getting to where they have to sell 2 or 3 times as many deals per month just to sniff quota. I really do wonder when the price point on color products is going to finally hit its floor...
My thoughts exactly! Pipeline has to be three times as full, color will be the same price as mon units. Probably withing 18 months one of the manufacturers will not market a mono device at all.
My thought is that when this happens, users should be able to run these units in monochrome and not have to use color at all. I'm sure this will bring up many service issues, along with billing.

As an FYI in this thread...I had a prospect come look at the Lanier LD275c (C7500), and they brought samples with them from one of the new TaskAlfa machines, and the output was crap. The color was very bland and looked almost like it came off an inkjet or duplicator. It was refreshing to see.
I just got crushed by a 50ppm Kyocera with an incumbent account, they were at $7,600 with 3 years S & S with paper drawer and finisher.
