01 April 2011 - Kyocera Mita Europe B.V. today announced the creation of a new Nordic Headquarters facility that will provide strategic and tactical support to Kyocera Mita sales companies in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. In recognition of this Kyocera Mita Svensak AB will be renamed as Kyocera Mita Nordic AB. Located in Stockholm, the new facility will be central to Kyocera Mita’s goal of tripling market penetration in the region.

Boosting the Kyocera Mita brand profile and increasing investment in the development of a regional channel strategy will be key functions of the new headquarters. In addition, the team will spearhead the introduction of Kyocera Managed Document Services (MDS) which will offer highly economical and efficient managed document services to customers while generating new revenue opportunities for Kyocera Mita channel partners. To support its channel partners in successfully delivering Kyocera MDS the new headquarters will deliver comprehensive partner training, tailored product offerings to drive sales and access to tools such as KYOfleetmanager, which enables the remote monitoring, optimisation and billing of Kyocera machines in the field. The new headquarters will allow Kyocera Mita to respond to the needs of customers in the region better and faster.

Commenting on the establishment of the new headquarters, Mr Yoshiaki Onishi, President of Kyocera Mita Europe B.V. said: “Historically the Nordic region has lagged behind Kyocera Mita's market penetration in the rest of Europe. Industry competition in the territory is strong and it is clear that greater investment is required if we are to replicate our success in other European countries across this well developed and environmental conscious region. Our advanced new product range, comprehensive managed document services and strong environmental credentials will be the key elements that we will highlight as we increase our activity across the territory. We are confident that this approach will create major opportunities for customers, channel partners, and indeed new employees of Kyocera Mita.”

In addition to the physical establishment of the headquarters, Kyocera Mita will also invest in back-office support systems for the existing sales companies, including a common platform for enterprise resource planning (ERP) and web-ordering facilities. This will streamline operations in the region, improving sales companies’ customer service performance and responsiveness.

“This technology investment will help our sales companies to achieve the ambitious targets that we are setting,” comments Toshihiro Saga, the new General Manager of Kyocera Mita Nordic. “We aim to triple our current market share and boost customer satisfaction while at the same time creating opportunities for the personal and material growth and development of Kyocera Mita's employees in the region.

“Our company philosophy teaches us that we have a deep responsibility to the country in which we operate to recognise the contribution that we can make to enhancing society and humanity through our actions. We are therefore proud of our product range that combines environmental and economical excellence. With our Managed Document Services we will deliver document solutions to our customers together with our sales partners. We are committed to making a positive impact in Stockholm and Sweden through the creation of this new headquarters,” affirms Mr Saga.
