Kyocera Mita America Inc. introduced two new TASKalfa MFPs, the TASKalfa 205c and TASKalfa 255c color multifunction products, further expanding its line of products.
The new color MFPs, are counterparts to the black and white TASKalfa 305 and TASKalfa 255 MFPs, launched last month.
Both the TASKalfa 205c and 255c are designed with SMARTtech (Simple Management and Replacement Technology) that assures simple-to-operate and simple-to-manage MFP functionality. The devices target office and workgroup users who need to print, copy, scan and fax in color.
The TASKalfa 205c and 255c offer 20 pages per minute (PPM) in black and color, and 25ppm in black and color, respectively. Both devices offer 600 x 600 dpi, 8 Bit resolution. The TASKalfa 205c has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month while the TASKalfa 255c's maximum monthly duty cycle is 40,000 pages per month.
Both devices come equipped with 1GB of RAM-based memory that is upgradable to 2GB. The RAM-based memory is part of Kyocera Mita's design that prioritizes information and document security, and means that when the device is turned off, all resident data is eliminated. There's no hard drive on the device to retain sensitive data.
The TASKalfa 205c and 255C can also be configured with Kyocera's Card Authentication solution to locally limit physical access to the MFP via HIP/Prox. The devices also offer a secure print feature that requires passwords for output directly at the device. Administrators and compliance officers can also give access only to those individuals with pre-approved credentials, when they integrate with Active Directory.
The new color MFPs are available through authorized Kyocera Mita dealers at the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $7,149 for the 205c, and $8,259 for the 255c.
