Industry Analyst’s Annual Multifunctional Product Reliability Study Finds Kyocera to be Most Reliable; Included 13 Kyocera Models on Recommended Purchase List
FAIRFIELD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, is once again named the Most Reliable Monochrome Multifunctional Product (MFP) line in the industry. In a survey of service managers and dealers conducted by Office Products Analyst, a publication of Industry Analysts, Inc., Kyocera’s MFPs earned a total overall reliability score of 9.0 (out of 10), as compared to the industry average of 8.2. Kyocera has received the highest total overall reliability score each of the last four years, and has been named Most Reliable more than any other manufacturer in the past decade.

OPA conducted in-depth telephone interviews with 139 dealer service managers throughout dealerships nationwide. Responses encompassed more than 30,000 multifunctional units. Copier dealer service managers were questioned on the products they work closely with on a daily basis. Ninety one models from seven manufacturers were studied and assessed on performance criteria such as ease of connectivity, ease of maintenance, ongoing product reliability, and cost of service. Service managers rated Kyocera highest in 33 of 39 critical areas, rating the Company’s MFPs highest in every service category – Products, Service Support, Product Reliability and Inventory.
