Kyocera Launches KM-1815

Feature set, long life consumables including 100,000-page drum life and low cost make KM-1815 optimal solution for small office


Fairfield, New Jersey – July 1, 2004 - Kyocera Mita America, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced an 18 page-per-minute digital, multi-functional imaging system, the KM-1815. Perfect for small offices and workgroups, the KM-1815 is a high performance, affordable imaging system that has one of the smallest footprints in its class.

The KM-1815 comes with a long list of standard features, including a 250-sheet paper drawer, a 50 sheet multi-purpose tray (MPT), 96MB of standard print and copy memory (upgradeable to 320MB), electronic sort, color scan to e-mail (Mono: PDF, TIFF; Color: PDF, JPEG) and includes a maximum volume of 15,000 pages per month.

“The KM-1815 monochrome MFP provides customers with the standard features of a larger MFP at a much lower cost,” said William Cassidy, product marketing manager, monochrome MFPs for Kyocera Mita America. “By including standard network print, color scan to email and scan once print many capability, Kyocera is providing a solution that meets the needs of the small office at an affordable price.”

In addition, the KM-1815 can be ordered to include an optional 50-sheet document processor and an additional 250-sheet paper drawer. The device accepts 16 to 28 pound Bond from the paper drawers and 16 pound. Bond to 90 pound Index from the MPT and can easily process plain and recycled paper, transparencies and envelopes.

The KM-1815 comes with long-life components including an OPC drum (up to 100,000 prints) and is backed by the most comprehensive warranty in the industry.

The KM-1815 digital copier is available through authorized Kyocera dealers with pricing starting at $1,170 (MSRP). The unit measures 19.5" (W) x 16.6" (D) x 15.2" (H) and weighs approximately 32 pounds.
