KYOCERA Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is launching the next generation of A3 colour MFDs which feature enhanced ease of use and efficiency of output. The four new A3 products, TASKalfa 3051ci, TASKalfa 3551ci, TASKalfa 4551ci and TASKalfa 5551ci, have superior colour quality designed to ensure every document stands out, and offer advanced features and functions to enable a fully customisable workflow.
All four MFDs have a user-friendly design and are fast, with speeds from 30ppm to 55ppm and time to first copy of 4.5 seconds. The fast scanning and finishing speeds meaning the devices are extremely productive and KYOCERA‘s HyPASTM software platform ensures that each MFD can meet the requirements of the demanding office environment. HyPASTM allows easy interface with business applications such as Document Management Systems (DMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The user-friendly colour operation panel is adjustable and encompasses the ‘touch and swipe’ functionality commonly used in mobile phones, while the 4 integrated USB slots allow connection of additional devices such as IC Card reader, USB keyboard or USB stick.
These MFDs adopt the latest security standards. Password policy can be defined and managed by the Administrator and the TASKalfa 5551ci series is equipped with IPsec and PDF encryption as standard.
Professional colour printing is mandatory for businesses and with up to 6 customisable colour tables KYOCERA ensures you get the colour you want with accurate colour matching. An optional Fiery controller means that this new family of TASKalfa A3 MFDs can be enhanced to output professional images to cater for the more demanding requirements of marketing and print for pay environments.
Individual paper handling and finishing options have been incorporated, with a paper capacity of 7,650 sheets at up to 300gsm. Booklet and tri-folding features, mean that large volumes can be printed uninterrupted while banner paper and any special paper sizes from 140 x 182 mm to 305 x 457 mm can be easily handled providing enhanced productivity.

Environmental responsibility is always a top priority for KYOCERA and key advances such as low energy consumption, sleep modes and a low power mode have resulted in a tremendous lowering of TEC* values by up to 50%. The TASKalfa 5551ci series comes with long life components as standard and the 600,000 page drum, reduces overall running costs, lowers downtime and prevents waste.
