KYOCERA Document Solutions America Extends Its Award-Winning Line of Black & White ECOSYS® Printers
Four New Monochrome Printers Conserve Energy, Boost Image Quality, and Reduce Running Costs
FAIRFIELD, N.J. – October 2, 2012 - KYOCERA Document Solutions America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, has announced the release of four mid-range ECOSYS® black-and-white desktop printers. Featuring Kyocera’s hallmark low total cost of ownership, the FS-4300DN, FS-4200DN, FS-4100DN, and FS-2100DN also boast output speeds and image quality that far exceed the standards of today’s users.
As with all Kyocera ECOSYS printers, these new desktop models come complete with Kyocera’s patented long-life drum technology. This eco-friendly drum design, which is separates the toner container, allows users to replenish toner without sacrificing the drum—thus reducing consumable costs and landfill waste. ECOSYS printers also conserve energy and associated costs by switching to standby mode when not in use; they are Energy Star™ certified for their operating efficiency.
The FS-4300DN (62 pages-per-minute), FS-4200DN (52 ppm), FS-4100DN (47 ppm) and FS-2100DN (42 ppm) output pages quickly and reliably. They also offer a maximum paper capacity of 2,600 sheets and a standard capacity of 600 sheets, so restocking the paper supply is no longer a major concern.
Equally impressive, the FS-4300DN has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 275,000 pages; the FS-4200DN tops out at 250,000 pages per month; the FS-4100DN at 200,000 pages per month; and the FS-2100DN at pages 150,000 per month. All four models handle standard duplex printing and output images at 1,200 dpi. Plus, each model accommodates transparencies, labels, vellum sheets, card stock, thick paper, and envelopes as readily as common stock.
All ECOSYS printers are loaded with Kyocera technology—ensuring that they’re as flexible as they are powerful. The FS-4300DN, FS-4200DN, FS-4100DN, and FS-2100DN support a variety of printer management tools (including Status Monitor, Kyocera Net Admin, and Kyocera Net Viewer), and offer Kyocera’s Command Center RX, a user-friendly web interface that allows for easy adjustment of security and network preferences. The printers support IPsec and IPv6 protocols; they also accommodate Kyocera’s KX Driver for Windows, PPD for Macs, PPD for Linux/UNIX, and Mini Driver and Windows 64-bit drivers. Each printer has a standard memory of 256MB that is upgradeable to 1,280MB, and each comes standard with a convenient, front-facing USB host printing interface and departmental accounting tracking capabilities.
