Konica's 7155 And 7165 Departmental Document Systems And 8031 Color Imaging System Honored In 2003 Opa Mfp Reliability Survey
OPA Names Three Konica MFPs to its 2003 "Recommended Purchase" List
WINDSOR, Conn. September 2, 2002 Konica Business Technologies U.S.A., Inc. (Konica), the innovation leader in digital imaging solutions and a subsidiary of Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc., today announced that its Konica 7155 and 7165 Departmental Document Systems, and its Konica 8031 Color Imaging System have been classified as "Technician Recommended" in The Office Products Analyst's (OPA) Annual Multifunctional Product (MFP) Reliability Survey.
"Our survey results have shown that, once again, Konica's products score high in reliability when put to the test," said Andy Slawetsky, senior analyst, Industry Analysts, Inc. "We are pleased to include these three Konica products in our "Recommended Purchase" list for 2003."
To compile the data for its 2003 MFP Reliability Survey, OPA, a monthly newsletter devoted to the cost/performance analysis of office products published by Industry Analysts, Inc., conducted in-depth telephone interviews with 152 dealer service managers from dealerships across the United States. Nearly 50,000 products were included in the survey responses.
Respondents were asked to rate each MFP that they service on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the best, with respect to reliability. This number was then converted into a percentage and the products that received a rating of 85% or higher qualified as "Technician Recommended". A "Recommended Purchase" list was then prepared consisting of the "Technician Recommended" devices.
"OPA's survey is an excellent representation of where individual products stand among the competition, and it is validated by its wide-reaching survey methodology, combing a strong base of dealers with a wide range of products," said William H. Brewster Jr., vice president of marketing, Konica Business Technologies U.S.A., Inc. "Konica has always been known as a leader in the industry when it comes to reliability, and we are pleased to receive this recognition from the dealer community."
