Konica Minolta Unveils DiALTA Color CF5001
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. has introduced a 50-page-per-minute (ppm) color printer/copier/scanner, the Minolta DiALTA Color CF5001, designed specifically for environments with high volume output needs such as commercial printers, print shops and corporate in-house design centers. The model provides a wide range of capabilities such as booklet making, folding and handling oversized-paper and thick paper.
"We know the demands of high volume color production environments," said Dino Pagliarello, product marketing manager, Color MFPs, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. "For instance, there are tight deadlines and small distribution windows. Plus, the documents often need extra finishing steps, such as hole punching, folding or covers. The CF5001 meets these needs. Starting with its solid construction and its small footprint, it is designed to succeed in production environments. Users will love its convenience features such as the ability to add toner on the fly and auto registration, which ensures correct copy placement on double-sided documents."
Meeting the need for professional color output, the CF5001 features 600 x 600 dpi and 256 gradations of color per pixel. It is rated to handle up to 150,000 impressions per month. Other features include: standard paper capacity of 1,750 sheets and a maximum paper capacity of 4,250 sheets; a standard document feeder that can handle up to 100-sheets and paper that is up to 110 lb. index in weight; and the ability to support color scanning of original documents up to 11-inches by 17-inches in size.
The CF5001 offers the optional Fiery S300 50C-K controller, from Electronics For Imaging (EFI). This Pentium 4, 2GHz controller allows users to connect the CF5001 to any network environment. The suggested retail price of the CF5001 is $35,900. The Fiery S300 50C-K controller has a suggested retail price of $23,000.
