to the print shop, today announces the connectivity of Konica Minolta’s bizhub® Office Multifunctional Products (MFPs - print, copy,
fax, and scan all in one system) with the Open Text Fax Appliance, FaxPress
Edition. An optional solution developed jointly with Open
Text, the preeminent provider of enterprise content management (ECM)
software and the market leader in fax servers, connectivity to bizhub Office
MFPs is now a built-in feature of the Fax Appliance and delivers improved fax
management capabilities to customers including those in the healthcare
industry.
Targeted at new or existing bizhub MFP customers who are also users of Open Text Fax Appliance, FaxPress Edition, the connectivity offers the convenience of using the MFP as a scanning on-ramp to their Fax Appliance for all outbound faxing. Open Text Fax Appliances save customers the cost of having a standalone fax machine or a fax board within their MFPs requiring a dedicated fax line. In addition to improving overall fax functionality across an organization, enabling enhanced cost control measures through resource consolidation, and improving document security, connectivity to the Fax Appliance is the ideal solution for Konica Minolta customers looking for an affordable, robust fax solution.

Since the Open Text Fax Appliance retains all inbound scans and provides Email notifications to recipients, auditing concerns are automatically addressed by managing fax capabilities through the Konica Minolta bizhub Office Systems. Additionally, an integrated scanning on-ramp establishes a virtual FaxPress tab on the Konica Minolta MFP's control panel, which provides users with the convenience of sending their outbound fax documents directly from the device itself.
