Konica Minolta launches Digital Doctor
KUALA LUMPUR: Konica Minolta Business Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd is offering its customers a new service solution called Digital Doctor, which helps them to manage their printers efficiently.
The Digital Doctor is a remote diagnostic system that proactively monitors the company’s multi-function printers (MFPs)for any looming problems such as parts deterioration or low toner levels.
The software ensures that all potential problems are accurately diagnosed so that the correct remedial action is taken promptly, even before the user realises that the problem has occurred.
“When attention is required, the Digital Doctor will automatically alert our technical support team via e-mail to rectify the situation,” explained Konica Minolta business solutions department manager David Tan.
He added that the company will also deliver the printer consumables promptly once the system has identified which catridge needs to be replaced.
This means customers are assured of on-time delivery of printer consumables without having to do any orders.
Besides recording meter readings of the printer automatically, the Digital Doctor also protects the company’s sensitive data by accessing only the machine memory, and not the image memory or the hard disk drive of the MFP.
The Digital Doctor, which is offered at no cost, is available on both Konica Minolta’s range of bizhub Pro production printing system and bizhub office MFPs. — By SUBASHINI SELVARATNAM
