Tokyo (December 2, 2024) - Konica Minolta, Inc. (Konica Minolta) today announced that the Company has established Konica Minolta Consulting Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as of December 1, 2024, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Konica Minolta Business Technologies Manufacturing (HK) Limited, which is in charge of supervising the production of MFPs, digital printing systems, and related consumables.

The predecessor of Konica Minolta Consulting Vietnam Co., Ltd. was a representative office that conducted market surveys under the control of Konica Minolta Business Technologies Manufacturing (HK) Limited. Incorporation has made it possible to partner with new suppliers and help suppliers reduce costs. The new company is also expected to undertake operations from Japan and other countries and increase operational efficiency by implementing DX. It will thereby expand the purchasing function in ASEAN and strengthen the supply chain management to realize sustainable purchasing of competitive parts.

Under the manufacturing strategy set out in the Medium-term Business Plan, Konica Minolta will step up efforts to strengthen profitability in the Business Technologies Business, including the Digital Workplace Business and Professional Print Business, and build a supply system that can respond quickly to changes in the business environment.
