Konica Minolta Earns Three Prestigious Marketing Research Consultants (MRC) Awards

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, announced that it has been awarded three distinctions from Marketing Research Consultants (MRC), the industry group that publishes leading office equipment trade journals, The Cannata Report and LiveWire. This year’s awards included MFP Manufacturer of the Year for Konica Minolta’s award-winning line of bizhub® multifunctional products (MFP – print, copy, fax, and scan all in one system), and Color Product of the Year for the newly-launched bizhub PRESS C8000. In addition, Konica Minolta legend Bud Murphy was honored with a Posthumous Award for outstanding service to the dealer community during his long tenure with the company.

MFP Manufacturer of the Year – Konica Minolta's line of bizhub office systems offer cost-effective, high-performance, high-value document management solutions for any office setting. The bizhub office product line was recognized due to its broad range of print, copy, scan, and fax speeds with advanced finishing options.

Color Product of the Year – The bizhub PRESS C8000, the flagship of Konica Minolta’s next-generation line of color digital presses, combines stable, high-resolution output with uncompromised full-color quality at fast speeds of 80 pages per minute (ppm).

Special Legend Award – A special Posthumous Award was given to Bud Murphy and accepted by his wife Kathy. This award is a tribute to Bud's outstanding service to the dealer community during his long tenure at the former Minolta Corporation, and later Konica Minolta.

I cannot recall ever presenting three awards to a company, in a single evening," said Frank Cannata, President, Marketing Research Consultants, LLC. "The recognition did not end there as we were proud to pay a posthumous tribute to Bud Murphy. There were several dealers who commented that Bud should have been given the award for Executive of the Year."

The awards were presented Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Nanina's in the Park, located in Belleville, New Jersey.
