Are you competing against another dealer or against a KMBS branch. If against a branch, sell your dealership. Sell your "local"-ness. Sell how much faster and responsive your service will be and where it's dispatched from, as opposed to heaven knows where the branch's service is coming from (central location = longer drive times = longer that the client is down). Sell you. Sell your relationship with your client as opposed to the branch's ever-changing rotating door of staff. Sell all the great advantages that local dealerships have over corporate branches.
You will also get more than enough amunition if you go to the Monstor Mayhem at Aficio League. There is video and everything. You show that to someone and I guarantee they won't buy it. A few points are:
Still has the old-fashioned belt-feed ARDF with no hinge foe book copying
If the finsher is attached, there is only one exit tray.
Anything over 20lb. must go through drawer 1 and you are only allowed 20 sheets and 10 sheets in the by-pass for a total of 30 sheets. If the customer wants to run 24 or 28 lb. paper which is common in a color environment, the user manual says they have a maximum of 30 sheets capacity.
Adding on some usability points: I absolutely hate Konica's itty-bitty touch screen for inputting addresses, file names, etc. The "keys" are tiny, and there is a limit to file name sizes. Another point I harp on again and again: the Ricoh RPCS driver. Can't be said enough how great that driver is. Makes doing booklets, "magazines," etc. a snap.
Thanks everyone for your feedback. I got the sale. I was a thousand dollars higher on a 30 ppm w/no finishing. KMBS quoted a 420 and the customer bought from me because of my persistence and the service side. Shaja, you were right to preach to service. That sale put me over my quota for the month. Thanks again to everyone.
