Konica Minolta have appointed Warwick Beban as the company’s new CEO and director, replacing the departing Evan Johnson.
With Johnson set to take the same position with Australia-based parent company CSG, Beban’s recruitment follows a succession plan which has been in place for some time according to Konica.
With the company quietly succeeding in the industry, particularly making it’s mark in SAAS, software revenue is now between 3% and 8% of the company’s revenue (EDMS, Consultancy Fees, Document Transformation, Document Auditing and Accounting, Document Workflow, Variable Data Applications).
New Zealand’s leading provider of document management solutions says Beban’s promotion from the current general manager of Konica Minolta, to the role of CEO and director, highlights his value to the team.
With over 20 years in the industry, Beban’s career has included six years with Konica Minolta, ten with U-Bix (KM’s former incarnation) and five years as head of corporate and business for Telecom Mobile.
In a bid to replicate the success of the company’s finance business in New Zealand, Johnson will become the CEO of CSG’s finance business, with a focus on driving expansion of its equipment leasing operations into the Australian market.
Konica Minolta says Johnson has led CSG in New Zealand through an extremely successful period in New Zealand – including a management buyout with Archer Capital, delivering record profit growth and transitioning the group into the ownership of CSG.
CSG, the parent company of Konica Minolta Business Solutions, is a listed Australian IT and print management company.
