"we installed an unconnected Konica 7075 in October 2000. In the six months since we got it, we have run 1.5 million copies or an average of 250,000 per month. Overall we've been satisfied with the machine - especially the booklet maker. In general the copy quality is good and we can start a job and walk away until we need to reload paper.

We frequently run pre-printed 11 x 17 covers, although we have not run any coated stock to date. We have found that pre-printed covers will jam when run from draw 1-4. We tried running from the by-pass tray and found that this has solved the problem. We believe it probably worked because of the straighter paper path (Naw! you're kidding). While reloading every hundred sheets is a hassle it beats not getting the job done (think anyone should tell hem that once heavy stock is used in the by-pass the by-pass won't hold a hundred sheets anymore, wonder if this would have made the buyer choose a different model?)

We'ver also noticed that the regular 20# bond we run seems to exit the copier slightly "wavier" (curled, curled not waiver)than our other equipment, especially when running dulex jobs (hey this is big!!!!). My quess is that the 7075 runs hotter than the Xerox 5100 and the 1090 (Don't think so) and this results in more moisture loss. This has not been as issue for any of our customers, but in the future it will be an issue whenwe look at new equipment.

Summary:

Use this duplex problem and the covers to our advantage!!!!!!!
