Kobylensky Named Konica VP of Color Sales
Konica Business Technologies U.S.A. Inc. has announced the promotion of Robert (Bob) Kobylensky to vice president of color sales. Kobylensky, who joined Konica in December 2002 as director of color sales, direct channel, will now be responsible for the overall sales initiatives for Konica's color product line. He will report directly to Yasuo Matsumoto, president and chairman of the board.
"Bob is a key addition to the Konica senior management team," said Matsumoto. "His extensive industry experience, knowledge of the color marketplace and proven management style will be great assets to the Konica sales organization nationwide."
Kobylensky brings more than 20 years of sales and management expertise in the imaging equipment industry - with a strong emphasis in color products - to his new post. Immediately prior to joining Konica, he served as vice president, U.S. operations, for Danka Business Systems PLC (Danka), where he was responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing a successful market strategy for all color hardware and software solutions. While at Danka, he directed the U.S. color sales organization, maintained profit and loss responsibility for the color program, and successfully exceeded sales forecasts for the organization.
Previously, Kobylensky spent 19 years at Canon U.S.A. Inc. He began his tenure at Canon as a district sales manager, where he was able to maintain his standing as one of the top five district sales managers for eight years. He ultimately served as channel sales manager at Canon, where he directed the sales and support of all digital, multifunctional output devices for the Western half of the United States
