The KIP 3000 is the eagerly awaited low end blockbuster from the boys from Novi (as in Michigan home office.) It is targeted directly at the Ricoh FW 240 (in all of its Laniar, Gastetner, Savin iterations) and the Oce? TDS 300. While the 3000 comes in six different configurations it only has one flavor. The beauty of this machine is that whether you order it as a bottom of the line; one roll copier or the top of the line, two roll system with copier, plot and scan to file feature enabled, you are delivered the same box, the dealer then turns on various features and charges accordingly.
The KIP 3000 is a one or two roll system that operates at four ?D? size prints per minute using KIP?s exclusive HDP Plus (High Definition Print) Technology. The new touch screen user interface is intuitive and will ultimately transfer across all of the KIP family of printing platforms. Installation and network connectivity is straight forward and to the point. Copy quality is excellent.
The realistic operating range for this copier is in the 3,500 to 5,000 square feet per month bracket. Anyone who tells you that this or any other machine in its class will perform in the 10,000 square feet per month category, all day, every day, for the three year estimated life of a machine in this class, more than likely, still has a positive opinion on the existence of the tooth fairy.
