The Kip 6000 is a total piece of garbage. Get your customer in for a demo on your system and blow them away with how much better your system is.

How do we compare on pricing?

That old Kip was not cheap. If you go with a Ricoh 6d per minute machine you should be able to save them quite a bit of money.

I don't think the 6 ppm device would hold up to their demands. I am looking at a minium of 2 5100's and the addition of 1 Tameran Folding unit. This is why I am trying to see if I am even in the same ballpark as the KIP units.
The Folding unit is more than the equipment cost.

what configuration on the print hardware? print, scan, color scan, two-roll, four-roll...?

I will be proposing two 5100's with total of 4 rolls, print/scan and one unit will have the Tameran Finisher, the other unit will have the stacker. This is a high volume engineering firm that requires redundancy. They are currently using two Kip 6000 units that are 7 years old and they cannot get software updates for. They are migrating to Windows 7 and there are not software updates that will support that.
