I am currently having a problem with the JP8000 Drums. It seems the drum that comes with the JP8000 is producing a full 11x17 image with a 1/4 inch border. However, when I switch to the color drum I can never produce the same 11x17 image with a 1/4 in border. It seems that the screen size is larger on the drum that comes with the JP8000 where as the color drum that you order for an extra drum is a different size. Has anybody came across this same problem or am I the first to notice it? and if you have noticed this problem is there anything I can do to fix this without reducing the image to 98%. thanks Jeff H

Jeff:
In reference to the JP8000 drums. I believe they all have the same size screen and all print the same. I have two in the field, but have quite a few JP 5000's and TCII's. They all use the same drum.
Your border, are you losing the border at the top of the page? There is an adjustment to increase the image area (this is a minor adjustment and will increase the image area in millimeters only). The JP8000, along with the JP5000 can not print edge to edge, where one drum may come close, the other may not. This is what you may be experiencing at your customers location.
There is a way to reduce the image one way and two with the JP series. Just access the directional magnification mode and you can make the changes yourself.
Be sure to double check if you or the customer is trying to print the borders near the edge of the 11 x 17 (mark it), then go to the operator manual and check the specs for each system. Hope this helps. Id not I would contact Ray Bauer at Ricoh HQ in New Jersey.
