Ft. Lauderdale, FL (February 2010) – ITEX, the award-winning office trade show produced by Imaging Network, a subsidiary of Questex Media Group LLC, will rotate to the East Coast in 2011 and co-locate with the industry leading office document and content management events, AIIM Expo/Info360 and the OnDemand Conference & Expo to create a unique industry event that will bring together the largest office dealer and channel audience in the country. The strong alliance will create a fresh and exciting venue based on a complimentary audience with a compatible industry focus.
ITEX will continue to deliver innovative strategies to the channel as before yet evolve to the next logical step to fully educate the marketplace and the emerging Hybrid Dealer. This includes the industry’s leading Education Tracks for the dealer marketplace, MPS Forums, Multi-Product Pavilions and spotlighting Industry Leading Exhibitors. This is the core strategy of ITEX, traditionally attended by Dealers, VARS, ISVs, and Solution Specialists seeking the latest trends and opportunities in the office channel. The move will add a cross-mix of providers and increase the ability to network with end users; buyers and customers.
“This move is part of our market strategy at Questex/Imaging Network, whereby our business events presented to the office and related markets are presented at one location, once during the year to create the ideal synergistic experience for both attendees and exhibitors,” says Christian Swartz, Business Development Director for Imaging Network. “Additional opportunities for professionals in the market to interact through our conferences, roundtable meetings and online events such as webinars and virtual events are also being provided, along with critical news and information in our award-winning magazines and online media to provide the marketplace a comprehensive, year-round information and business networking channel,” said Swartz. “ITEX’s move to Washington, DC for 2011 will provide added value, especially for the Hybrid Dealer attendees. Now they will have a chance to see more suppliers as well as the unique ability to network with thousands of the largest buyers of office technology.”
ITEX, supported by the company’s publication, imageSource magazine, acknowledged early on that technology has changed and there is a need to understand the ensuing mind set of the customer/buyer more than ever before. As standalone copier/printer devices have evolved into integrated MFDs connected to the enterprise IT network, channel providers are finding that end-user decision makers have also consolidated from separate copier/printer buyers to a single buyer within the IT function, thus changing the purchasing approach in today’s marketplace. By holding ITEX and the other events at the same location, the mega-show will create the nation’s largest educational, commercial and business networking platform for all key constituents in the office/document management community including OEMs, Channel Dealers, Solution Specialists, End-Users and more. Each will have the opportunity to focus on the latest trends of what’s next in office technology as well as increased prospecting ability, broader educational offerings, and a vast array of networking opportunities.
In addition, ITEX will continue to stress the importance of a viable Managed Print Services program for dealers, addressing the platform through expanded MPS Education Forums co-hosted by Imaging Network and InfoTrends. “We at InfoTrends are pleased to be taking a leadership role in developing the information content for the MPS conference and business networking programs at this strategic event,” said Randy Dazo, Director of Solutions and Services at InfoTrends. “Managed Print Services is the hottest growth area for the office equipment market with a 22% compound annual growth rate through 2013. Obviously there is huge interest and revenue potential coming from the Office Equipment dealer space, but at the same time we are also seeing IT resellers surging back into the print industry because of Managed Print; many saying that MPS is providing them with additional new and untapped revenue opportunities for them,” said Mr. Dazo. “With the diversity of channels desiring more information about the hottest MPS and outsourcing trends, the idea of ITEX, On Demand and AIIM coming together is extremely exciting. It will truly be a convergence of trends, interests, solutions and channels under one roof.”
Swartz adds, “It just makes sense to co-locate the show, building on the overall value of all three shows and their participants. Together, these combined events will have more than 600 exhibitors and over 20,000 attendees. This creates a huge opportunity for all involved.”
ITEX has become the favored venue for industry professionals to discuss real-world office technology challenges and solutions for all segments of the industry. By co-locating ITEX with AIIM/Info360 and OnDemand, the synergy will be dynamic and supported by actionable programs from a new perspective.
ITEX 2011 will remain the Largest Dealer Event at one location yet enhanced with multiple benefits for increased value.
