The last six weeks might be the worst six weeks I've ever had in the business. I have no problem getting appointments (as long as I make a minumum of 150 calls a week), but after I've got them, they call up and cancel, move the appointment to another day. For the first time in years I had a customer cancel an order a day after it was signed because the accounting department put the kbash on it!
Keep making the calls and keep trying different things, and the old adage of never say die!
Which leads me to my next big thing I'm going to try, I'm going to focus on trying to sell more printers (lol), yeah I laughed also at first, however I keep seeing new printers pop up all of the time! I met Jesse Harwell through the Kyo P4P Hotel Jesse is a salesperson in our industry however he focuses on printers and makes six figures a year doing it.
The other day he and I did a webinar on this cool printer side by side SAS. It took me under two minutes to create a side by side quote for three different printers and the TCO! No matter what your printer line is, he has the database to cover them all. Now, instead of putting those printer quotes off to the side, I can know them out ASAP and emded the quote in an email and I'm done!
Take a trip here printersidebyside, and see how fast this can be accomplished. Of course there is a cost for the service, however the cost is relativly low considering that you can move more printers and low end MFP's.
I'm not telling you that I am dropping selling solutions nor MFP's, however I do believe that I'll be able to cover more bases and spend less time with quoting printers this way.
