RICOH CORPORATION INTRODUCES THE AFICIO 1515 SERIES
New Multifunctional Systems Feature Embedded Scan to E-mail and Standard Duplex Copying
West Caldwell, NJ, June 09, 2004 — Ricoh Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today introduced the Aficio 1515/1515F/1515MF, designed to meet the demands of today’s small office.
With the Aficio 1515 Series, users get “big office” performance and can decide how to customize their system with a choice of three configurations right out of the box: Aficio 1515 Digital Copier, Aficio 1515F Digital Copier and Fax or Aficio 1515MF Digital Copier, Fax, Printer and Network Scanner.
The Aficio 1515 Series incorporates a wealth of digital features and advanced paper-handling capabilities designed to optimize the document imaging process from start to finish. Users only need to scan originals once, and can then go about other tasks while the Aficio 1515 Series produces the desired number of copies. Its standard duplex copying capability significantly reduces paper, hardcopy storage and postage costs.
Access to all of the Aficio 1515 Series capabilities is available via an intuitive control panel, which features a four line, back lit display as well as directional cursor keys.
Each system comes with a standard 350-sheet paper capacity (250 sheets from the Paper Tray and 100 sheets through the Bypass Tray), which also accepts envelopes—reducing time-consuming paper replenishment tasks for a total of 850 sheets from three sources. Additionally, the Aficio 1515 Series comes standard with an Automatic Document Feeder, enabling the copying of 8 ½” x 14” originals, and automatically sorts copies from memory, which does away with time-consuming hand collation.

In addition to standard copying capability, an optional Scanner/Printer kit is available for the Aficio 1515, enabling users to upgrade their system at a later time.
The Aficio 1515F includes all the functionality benefits of the Aficio 1515 as well as high-end fax capabilities, making it ideal for environments with demanding hardcopy and electronic fax requirements.
Similarly, the Aficio 1515MF includes all the benefits of the Aficio 1515/1515F as well as LAN-fax and Internet fax, high performance scanning, duplex printing and a refined print command stream.
The embedded scan to e-mail function enables users to communicate information quickly and efficiently at a much lower cost than traditional overnight delivery services, without utilizing any additional software or dedicated server. Documents can be scanned or faxed to multiple e-mail addresses in TIFF or PDF format, which allows users to meet tight deadlines and eliminates the expense of making extra copies of documents for multiple recipients.
The suggested retail price of the Aficio 1515 is $1,950, Aficio 1515F is $2,400 and the Aficio 1515MF is $2,600.
