INTELLEDOX CELEBRATES 21 YEARS IN BUSINESSAUSTRALIAN-BORN SOFTWARE COMPANY MARKS MILESTONE BIRTHDAYCanberra, Australia – 23 October, 2013 - In October 1992, ANU science graduates Phillip Williamson and Michelle Melbourne started software development company Intelledox.
21 years later, Intelledox is a leading global software company competing and partnering with some of the biggest names in information technology. Its technology is used by governments and corporations around the world.
Co-founder and CEO Phillip Williamson said that turning 21 was a significant milestone for the company, which now has offices in Canberra, Sydney, New York, Singapore, London and Toronto.
“It’s not every day that an Australian software company turns 21, so it’s very special to be celebrating Intelledox’s birthday this week,” he said.
“Intelledox’s future is bright. It’s a particularly exciting time to be in software development, as the world shifts to using apps, mobile and software as a service [SaaS]. People want to access services at any time and on any device, and that’s our key focus right now.” Intelledox has transformed itself many times through the booms and busts of political, technological and economic cycles. It has emerged as a resilient, adaptive and innovative global company.
Since its beginnings as a business automation consulting company in 1992, servicing the Australian federal government, Intelledox has achieved considerable success. In 2001, it developed Australia’s most successful learning management system, Capabiliti LMS, which was acquired by professional services firm Cordelta in 2012.
In 2005, Intelledox launched its flagship solution, Infiniti, to specifically address inefficiencies in content management and document assembly. Infiniti nurtures and controls business processes through document automation, smart web forms, CRM and batch processing. Today it is used by over 1 million business users and citizens worldwide.
In recent years, Intelledox has focused on international expansion and a highly successful partner program. As a result, the company has experienced a 235 per cent growth rate over the last three years. Phillip Williamson expects this to continue, anticipating 100 per cent growth this year.
Michelle Melbourne, who is co-founder and executive director at Intelledox, said she is proud of what the company has achieved.
“We started at a time when it was unheard of to think you could make money out of technology. We’ve always been focused on focused on delivering innovative, world-class products that make complex tasks simple, and that’s one of the main reasons we’re celebrating Intelledox’s 21st this week,” she said.
Michelle, who also serves as chair of the Canberra Business Council, credited Intelledox’s early and ongoing successes to its Canberra roots. “Canberra’s smart, collaborative and supportive business community has been an invaluable source of highly skilled staff, great mentors, government funding and advice. Canberra is a smart global city and it is a hotbed of innovation and ideas that are permeating through all business and government sectors,” she said.
A 21st birthday party is scheduled for Friday 25 October in Canberra to celebrate and to thank supporters, clients, partners, families, friends and investors who have contributed to Intelledox's success. |
