First of all, for those who may not know, PageCounter 100 is a device similar to a Danyl or Abaddon copy accounting device except this will send copy data and integrate it with print data collected by Ricoh's (Equitrac's) PCSM - Printer Cost and Security Manager. The net result is that the end user does not have to go around and get copy counts and then manually combine them with print counts collected by PCSM.
I just found out that there is an imbedded version that is going to be launched in about a month. It will add app. $500/unit but massive time savings.
I have a college that now has to go around campus adding and subtracting user codes as people change. With this, all the units would be monitored and updated from one central admin station. Plus, users will be able to use every machine on campus regardless of where they are and the copies will get debited from their account.
Just another arrow in our quiver...
