To my horrible surprise last week, as I was going in to have documents signed for 3 55's and 1 60, the procurment officer had a mailing on his desk from IMAGISTICS. It was a postcard showing that they had just been awarded the PREFERRED VENDOR for the STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA with a guaranteed placment of 5 -8,000 COPIERS over the next 3 years.

The purchaing agent looked at me as he slipped this across the desk to me and was about to tell me that the deal was over.

I was pretty upset after specing the RFP, bidding the contract, a demorama with 5 vendors, being awarded the contract; I was not about to let this get i the way, especially because they weren't even invited to participate.

I looked at him and said thanks! Put it in my briefcase, told him where I needed his authorization on my paperwork and left as fast as I could..

This deal went through and the client is happy, but this could be detrimental. Is there anybody else in PA who is facing these issues. I'd love to brainstorm with everyone to see what they are doing to overcome this.

Thanks,

brian
