Lake Success, N.Y., November 1, 2007 – Addressing the diverse and ever-changing document production needs of large workgroups and busy corporate environments, Canon U.S.A., the overall brand leader in the U.S. copier marketi, today unveiled the color-enabled imageRUNNER C5068/C5058 and monochrome imageRUNNER 5050 models.
The new imageRUNNER C5068/C5058 models deliver impressive, high-volume, black-and-white letter-sized performance at speeds of up to 68 and 58 pages-per-minute (ppm), respectively, and color letter-sized output when needed at up to 16 ppm. The new imageRUNNER 5050 model, which uses the same robust and reliable design as the imageRUNNER 5075/5065/5055, expands upon Canon’s rich black-and-white heritage to deliver an affordable everyday printing and copying solution at up to 50 ppm. The new imageRUNNER models are powered by Canon’s proprietary imageCHIP (Concurrent Hyper Intelligent Platform) System Architecture for fast multifunction processing and full concurrency, helping to maximizing productivity in high-volume environments.
“These new Canon imageRUNNER models are truly the best of both worlds, offering organizations impressive black-and-white productivity and innovative ways to control usage of high-quality occasional color output to minimize expenses - all for the price of typical monochrome devices,” said Sam Yoshida, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Systems Division, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “Based on our extensive experience in Corporate America, we recognize that every environment is unique. With the new imageRUNNER models, organizations can choose the monochrome or color-enabled device that best meets their growing needs for quality documents that stand out and make an impression.”
