I periodically purchase offlease/repo equipment and have done so for 8 years. Due to the incredible country that we live in, and the honesty of the people in our country, and out of hundreds of transactions, I have NEVER been dissappointed with the equipment that I have received, despite that the equipment is purchased sight unseen. That is testament to basically the honor system among people in our industry, and I am happy to be a part of it. The ending of this post is not quite as rosy. I recently purchased a 1075 with saddle/stitch finisher from Neil at ICN in Florida. I received a 1075 that was Absolutely the worst example of a machine with 330K copies on it that I have ever received. The kicker is that it didn't have the saddle stitch finisher (which the documentation said it did) but instead came with SR 850. I ordered the machine because it had the saddle stitch finisher. After contacting Neil NUMEROUS times with NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER, he offered a used 450 to make it up to me. A 450, people.

Thanks for the ventilation folks TIME TO MOVE ON TO THE NORMAL HAPPY, WORKING, PRODUCTIVE WORLD!!!!!!!!!

Good Post - I have gotten in the habit of buying all my off lease equipment from one vendor and have been VERY happy with that company. Since we want to tout good along with damnin the bad, I would like to put in a good word for Rick Howe at Office Equipment Group in Orlando, FL ((407) 436-4136 - rhowe@oeginternational.com. I get great looking equipment at reasonable prices and Rick is always awesome to deal with. If anybody is looking for a used/off lease equipment vendor, I would highly recommend Office Equipment Group! Thanks
Sometimes what the deal calls for is cheap "next to new" equipment. The best source for these that I know of is Century United out of Topeka, KS.

A recent post had a 2232C with less than 3K for $5,600 which is $1,500 below DMAP6 cost.
When a 1022 serves as well as a 2022 but it can't have copies, this is the best source.
When you have to buy it cheaper than you can get it from RFG, this is where to go.
