Recently we placed a 240W, we were able to make six copies on the system. After six or so copies the middle Exposure LED Lamp expired.
The customer was upset and asked for another unit, we complied and installed another one in a few days. We installed the new copier and made a few copies three or four and scanned several originals to test connectivity. I arrived a few hours later for training, the system was already on and I proceeded to make copies. The middle Exposure LED Lamp had expired again. The middle part of the document was blank with dark lines both sides printed clearly.
We immedialty dispatched a tech to replace the lamp, replacing the lamp worked in our office, replacing the lamo in the customer office did not work.
We just installed a line monitor and we are going back on Monday with another lamp.
What I would like your advise on is the environment that wide format is in. The building where the copier resides is located within 200 feet of high tension high voltage electric lines. These high powered electric lines power NJ transit trains.
Could these high voltage lines be causing radio, magnectic or EMF interference with the system?
Any help would be appreicated
