Huawei and Canon have teamed up to develop native HarmonyOS printing ecosystem. Both parties will indulge in adapting the new software system for printers, drivers, relevant applications, and cloud printing to offer a reliable user experience.
Canon is a Japanese MNC specialized in making industrial products. For instance lenses, cameras, printers medical equipment, scanners, optical or imaging parts, and semiconductor manufacturing components across the globe.
The company has now cooperated with the Chinese tech giant at the Huawei Smart Office Ecosystem Summit in Wuhan on December 26. It is now an official partner of Huawei’s HarmonyOS NEXT ecosystem and will help to expand it further.
Both Huawei and Canon will build an advanced native HarmonyOS printing ecosystem. The parties will work on creating an innovative printing solution that can provide consumers with smarter, more convenient, and user-friendly printing facilities.
On the other hand, these companies will ensure effective printers as well as beneficial services for consumers. Huawei users will eventually experience high-quality and innovative document printing with the new HarmonyOS NEXT solution.

During the cooperation ceremony, Canano mentioned that it maintained a strong partnership with Huawei since 2018. Up to this point, about 90% of its printers support the HarmonyOS ecosystem. The list counts 300 Canon inkjet printers, laser printers, and digital MFPs. This coverage is constantly expanding over time.
With this service, Huawei smartphone and tablet users can easily obtain a wireless connection with Canon printers and perform multiple related operations.
