HP wants to move to subscription model for all
HP Inc.’s CEO, Enrique Lores, was recently interviewed by Wall Street Journal
- Subscriptions would bundle printers, MFPs, supplies, paper and PCs, as well as other technology
- Move will put a dent in retail sales of their products in retailers and dealers
- Claims that future of HP is “being a digital company” over one that sells products in retail stores
- “I think it is the desire to be more relevant to our customers. We can offer a much stronger value proposition to customers with, rather than a product, a full service. It is all about engaging with customers in a more permanent way”
- “we need to change how we connect with customers”
