PALO ALTO, Calif.--today announced it has been positioned as a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Managed Print Services 2010 Hardcopy Vendor Analysis Study.(1)
IDC, a leading provider of IT research and advice, issued its independent multivendor study and found that HP Managed Print Services earned high scores in terms of its overall current portfolio and strategic direction.
The IDC study found that HP has leveraged HP Enterprise Services to yield a number of very large MPS contracts. IDC stated that HP has a proven track record of training and effectively deploying a large, direct sales organization. Additionally, IDC mentioned that HP’s services portfolio reflects rich enhancements to the manageability of its hardware devices through the use of its embedded Open Extensibility Platform (OXP) architecture, integration with its existing software platforms and those of partners, and strong alignment with its service delivery channels.

The study found that HP’s portfolio, sales, marketing and customer services strategies and execution capabilities were especially strong.
