This question was emailed to me, and Idon't know enough to answer it correctly.  Can anyone help with this?

How does Ricoh remote compare to print fleet, is it going away, does it have any accounting capabilities similar to Equitrac?

Well, I evaluated @remote years ago before we decided on Printfleet so my info may be dated.

From what I recall @remote did a fine job of collecting meters on my Ricoh devices. Not so well on non-ricoh devices. It did not have any accounting capabilities as it simply pulled data from the copiers.

Printfleet does the same, pulls meters from devices, has very robust reporting such as: Want to know how much your printer prints from 8-9am Monday morning? It can tell you.

The quality of the data acquired depends upon the device to display it and the software to obtain it. This can be tricky, but overall, Printfleet did a better job.

As far as one of them going away, haven't heard anything like that, but I'll say @remote is a side project for Ricoh, Printfleet built a company around their software.
