(Konica Minolta) today announces that Hesston Prestige Printing (Hesston) has further enhanced its print operations with the addition of the KIP C7800 to complement the bizhub®PRESS C7000 Color Digital Press from Konica Minolta. A year after purchasing one of Konica Minolta’s next-generation digital presses, Hesston has doubled their print volume, drastically reduced downtime and broadened its customer portfolio. With the purchase of the KIP C7800 Wide Format Color Printer in March 2012, Hesston plans to take the business in another strategic direction by targeting overflow work from local print shops with the added ability to manage large volumes of high-quality color output.
Hesston initially installed a bizhub PRESS C7000 in 2011 as part of an initiative to offer yearbook printing to schools in the Kansas area. Delivering fast, high-quality output with a variety of finishing options, Hesston has not only broadened its services portfolio with the color digital press, but also realized time and cost savings for the company. Print volume has doubled with the help of the bizhub PRESS C7000 and the new capabilities have allowed them to expand the business in another new direction - absorbing overflow work from nearby print shops.
