RAMSEY, NJ—Feb. 28, 2012—Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. has helped Goodcopy Printing & Digital Graphics increase overall print volume by 30 percent with award-winning Konica Minolta production print technologies. By adding the bizhub PRESS C8000 color digital press and a bizhub PRO 1200 monochrome printing system to its fleet, the New Haven, CT-based printer has realized faster turnaround times, more flexible document management capabilities and decreased downtime due to the new technologies’ reliability.
A complete source for graphics, copying, printing and mailing needs, Goodcopy delivers fast, superior-quality output to clients as its number one priority. In early 2011, owners Lou and Edie Goldberg began evaluating new solutions that would improve output quality while also reducing ongoing issues with production bottlenecks. The print house considered all of the major digital imaging manufacturers and determined that a KonicaMinolta bizhub PRESS C8000 and a bizhub PRO 1200 systems would offer a broader range of capabilities and drastically improve their turnaround time.
The fast speeds of the Konica Minolta systems have allowed Goodcopy to increase overall print volume by 30 percent each month, decrease overtime hours by approximately 15 percent, and improve overall color quality.
The Konica Minolta service team has also contributed to Goodcopy’s productivity improvement. Having provided exceptional service for the bizhub PRO 1050 in the shop’s current fleet, this was a key deciding factor when selecting a vendor. The Konica Minolta team got the new systems up and running quickly and has continued to maintain service on both the bizhub PRESS C8000 and bizhub PRO 1200 so that Goodcopy experiences drastically reduced productivity loss.

The print house has added 13x19˝ stock and in-line finishing features such as saddle-stitching, folding and stapling. With the fully networked bizhub PRO 1200 and bizhub PRESS C8000, the shop can merge pictures, logos, text, covers and tabs to produce print runs ranging from one to one-thousand, directly from the systems.
