Global Imaging Systems Acquires Iowa-based Midwest Business Solutions
TAMPA, Fla. -- Global Imaging Systems, A Xerox Company (NYSE: XRX), has acquired Midwest Business Solutions, Inc. of Des Moines,Iowa.
The acquisition furthers Global Imaging’s strategy of creating a nationwide network of locally-based providers focused on improving document workflow and office efficiency for small and mid-size businesses. Last month, Global Imaging Systems acquired Premier Office Equipment, Inc., in Marshalltown, Iowa, and the assets of United Business Solutions of Addison,Ill.
Midwest Business Solutions, located in Des Moines and Ft. Madison, Iowa, was founded in 2002 by owner Randy Forburger. An independent distributor of copiers, printers and multifunction systems, Midwestwill immediately begin offering Xerox’s full range of office multifunction products. Forburger will remain with the company.
